Movement Workshop

Why Isn't the Correction Sticking?

Led by Meg Kerrigan · 3× World Champion

Meg doesn't just look at the correction. She finds the root cause underneath it. When your dancers understand why their body can't do what's being asked of them yet, everything starts to shift.

  • Turnout, crossover, straight knees, kick height, posture, arms — any correction you're working on right now
  • The MWM What, Why, How method applied to your school's specific needs
  • Group setting with a genuinely individual focus — every dancer in the room is different
  • Targeted exercises and a clear plan dancers can take away and actually use
  • Online or in person · Fully bespoke to your school
Mindset Workshop

When the Body Is Ready but the Mind Holds Back

Led by Annabelle Nunnery · NLP Coach & Practitioner

Annabelle has been in your dancers' shoes. She competed, she toured, and she struggled with nerves for years. Now she helps dancers understand and manage their mindset so they can actually perform at their best when it matters most.

  • Feis nerves, performance anxiety and pressure management
  • Confidence, self-belief and self-compassion
  • How to reframe mistakes as part of the process, not proof of failure
  • Practical tools dancers use before, during and after a competition
  • Online or in person · Fully bespoke to your school

Megan Kerrigan · Founder, Move With Meg

I've been in your dancers' shoes. I know exactly what's missing.

I'm a 3-time World Champion. I toured with Lord of the Dance for 7 years. And I've spent years since then working with hundreds of dancers from New Zealand to New Mexico, England to Austria.

The one thing I see everywhere? Teachers doing everything right. Giving the corrections. Spotting the problems. Showing dancers exactly what needs to change. And dancers trying — genuinely, wholeheartedly trying.

But the correction still isn't landing.

That is not the teacher's fault. And it is absolutely not the dancer's fault. It's that nobody has had the time to find the why underneath the what.

"I'm not here to replace what you do. I'm the layer underneath it. You tell them the what — I find the why. Then the how finally becomes possible."

That is what an MWM workshop brings to your school.

You've said it a hundred times.
It's still not fixed.

It's not because your dancers aren't trying. It's because the body can't yet do what it's being asked — and nobody has found out why.

🔄

The Repeated Correction

Same correction. Same class. Week after week. She nods. She tries. Next week — same thing.

💔

The Dancer Who's Switched Off

She was so enthusiastic once. Now she looks deflated before she even starts. She thinks she's the problem. She's not.

🧠

The Nerves That Won't Shift

She dances brilliantly in class. The second she's on stage, it all falls apart. Nobody's ever helped her understand why — or what to do about it.

The What. The Why. The How.

Every workshop is built around this framework. When all three land together, corrections stop being stuck and start sticking.

1
The What

The Correction

The thing showing up on the floor. Turnout. Crossover. Straight knees. Posture. Kick height. The symptom — never the whole problem. We start here.

2
The Why

The Root Cause

This is where MWM lives. We ask the questions nobody else is asking. Is it worse under pressure? One side worse than the other? We find the actual reason underneath.

3
The How

The Plan

From the why comes a specific plan. Not guesswork. Not generic exercises from YouTube. The exact thing to target for that dancer's body, right now.

The teacher notices.
That's when it feels real.

The first sign is always internal — the dancer feels different in her body. Then the teacher comments without being prompted. That's the moment everything changes.

"My brain activation to straighten my knees has improved. The difference in a week has been huge."

MWM Dancer

"My teacher commented on how great my reel is. I couldn't have gotten better without these stretches."

MWM Dancer

"She didn't even place at Nationals last year. So much improvement since she started with you."

Parent, MWM Community

"I can see a definite improvement in her posture. She absolutely loved it and is continuing even after the programme ended."

Parent, MWM Community

"Moved up 18 places at NANs. 30th place in 2024. 12th place in 2025."

MWM Dancer Result

"I saw a difference in her confidence especially leading up to the Worlds. A real change in positivity."

MWM Irish Dance School Workshop in action

World-class expertise.
From people who've lived it.

Meg and Annabelle both know Irish dance from the inside. The pressure, the corrections, the Feis nerves — and exactly how to help.

This is not a fitness class.

Not burpees. Not stamina circuits. Not generic stretches with Irish music. This is movement education and mindset coaching, built specifically for Irish dancers by people who have lived it from the inside.

01

We find the why — not just the what

Everyone can see the correction. Nobody else is asking why the body can't do it yet. That's where Meg starts.

02

Movement and mindset under one roof

Meg works on the body. Annabelle works on the mind. Two workshops. One complete picture. Your dancers get both.

03

We are never competing with you

You tell them the what. Meg finds the why. Together the correction finally has somewhere to go. That is the whole relationship.

04

Fix one thing. Improve many.

When Meg finds the root cause — a tight lower back, for example — multiple corrections often improve at once. Your dancers get more than they came for.

Questions we hear a lot.

Is this a fitness class?
No. This is movement education and mindset coaching. We are not here to do stamina circuits or burpees. We are here to help your dancers understand their bodies, find the root cause of corrections that are not landing, and build the mental tools to perform at their best.
Will Meg be watching their dancing and giving corrections?
No. That is your job and we respect that completely. Meg works on the physical capacity underneath the correction. You keep doing what you do — we fill in the layer that is missing.
Can we book both a movement and a mindset workshop?
Absolutely. Many schools choose to run both in the same day or across two sessions. Movement and mindset work brilliantly together and we will build that into your bespoke proposal.
Online or in person?
Both are available. Online works brilliantly and removes any travel barriers. In person brings a different energy especially for mindset sessions. We will figure out what suits your school best.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is fully bespoke based on the format, length, and content of your workshop. Get in touch and we will put something together that works for you. There is no one-size-fits-all package here.
What age groups do you work with?
We work with dancers of all ages and levels. The youngest dancer we have worked with individually was aged 7. Workshops are adapted for the age group in the room — just tell us who we are working with.

"You've been giving your dancers the correction. Let us give them the why. Let's build something that actually works for your school."
