It was facing the back — because I couldn't do them properly.
I was told: "You just can't do kicks." So I believed it. Nobody ever explained why. Nobody looked at what was actually going on in my body. So I did what most dancers do. I accepted it, worked around it, and quietly filed it away under "things that are just not for me."
A few years ago I started properly understanding what was going on. My lower back was tight. My hamstrings weren't strong enough. My posterior chain was locked. None of it had anything to do with talent, effort, or how hard I'd trained.
Now, at 34 years old, I can kick higher than I could at 16. Not because I trained harder. Because I finally understood my why.
That's exactly what this challenge is about. Not pushing your kicks. Not forcing anything. Just understanding what's actually going on — so you can stop guessing and start actually improving. ❤️

You've tried everything. You've stretched more, trained more, watched videos. And the result is the same. So quietly, you start to accept that this is just how it is for you.
Your teacher keeps saying it. You keep trying. Nothing sticks. At some point, hearing the same correction starts to feel like confirmation that you just can't do it.
You watch other dancers at class and at Feises. You're putting in the same hours. But their kicks go up and yours stay put. It's exhausting and confusing in equal measure.
So you stop talking about it. You focus on other things. And the correction stays on the list — the one that's always there, that never seems to shift.
None of this makes you less talented. It makes you a dancer who hasn't been shown the right thing yet. Most dancers don't have a kick height problem. They have a lack-of-understanding problem. And those two things need completely different solutions.
Each day targets a different part of your body that could be limiting your kick height. Every session goes live on the MWM Instagram at 5PM UK time — and the recording is posted straight after, so you can still work through it in your own time.
The sessions happen live on Instagram daily. Your progress and your giveaway entry live inside the Free Members Club on the MWM App.
Each session goes live there. Can't make the live? The recording goes up straight after so you can still do the work in your own time.

High clicks have been introduced into my dances which is a huge bonus for me. My teacher and dance friends noticed before I even said anything. Getting a World Medal at my first Worlds and placing 3rd at Irish Nationals has been amazing — all achieved through their support.
Being consistent with the stretches has helped me get my left splits, and my swings and clicks have been really good lately. My teacher even complimented me on how high my swings were — which is something she doesn't usually do.
She danced really well, she was happy and her teachers were happy. 11th place — what a massive jump from no place at all last year! You and Isla have been amazing support and guidance for her, and we can't wait to see her continue to grow.
Every exercise is chosen because it targets a specific root cause of limited kick height. This is not stamina training dressed up with Irish dance branding.
The goal isn't to force your kicks higher. It's to understand what your specific body needs — and that understanding is yours to keep long after the challenge ends.
Every dancer does the same 5 days. But every dancer will take something different from it — because every dancer's body is different. That's the whole point of MWM.
MWM is never about that. It's about understanding what's going on underneath — and giving your body what it actually needs to make the correction possible.
Meg wasn't born with high kicks. She was told she couldn't do them. Now at 34 she does them better than she did at her competitive peak. That's not a marketing line. That's the method working.
Join dancers from around the world this week. Find out what's actually going on in your body — and start building from there.
